Whipple Dam is one of our first events in the fall. It’s one of the best ways to get to know the new members and see returning ones after a whole summer apart!
Whipple Dam is a Pennsylvania State park, highlighted with a manmade lake and beach. Since Fall 2016, Springfielders have taken a trip out there together during Labor Day weekend. While taking advantage of the short-lived warm weather in State College, some people break out their bathing suits for one last swim, while others relax in the sun. Our Whipple Dam trip isn’t complete without a massive game of volleyball, cornhole and a KanJam tournament, and lots of snacks.
Returning members have come to look forward to this trip and see it as a great way to get to know other Springfielders. From the car ride there and back, to carefree games before classes pick up, you’re sure to make a some new friends that will be familiar faces at meetings and future events!
