Where are you from?
How long have you been in Springfield?
2 years, going to be a junior!
Why did you join Springfield?
I joined Springfield as a totally lost freshman who was certain I would never find people like me at a giant school. At the first Springfield meeting, that totally changed. Springfielders are authentic, caring, funny, and passionate people, and the moment I walked into 233 hub they welcomed me with open arms.
What is your favorite Springfield memory?
My favorite Springfield memory is probably this years family picnic! I love family picnic because you get to spend so much time with our awesome kiddos and families. This year, Kenzie came out of her shell and was impressing everyone with her dance moves and crushing us at uno. Taiven and the Silbaugh girls had some precious moments playing school as well. There’s nothing I love more than these moments, when cancer doesn’t exist and we just get to watch these amazing kids just be kids. It’s a reminder of why we do everything that we do all year, and how important our work is.
Why is Springfield special to you?
Springfield is special to me because we are a group of friends with a much bigger cause. I think that when a group of passionate people come together for a good cause, anything is possible. Springfield is a clear example of why this is true. Our fundraising shows our tenacity and our relationships with our families show how we are doing this for the right reason- For The Kids.
