Participate with your workplace…

Company Donations

Many organizations chose to pair with Springfield through a direct corporate donation. Springfield’s corporate sponsors range in size from elementary schools to small business to large law firms. Corporate donations not only help fulfill THON’s mission of eradicating pediatric cancer, but also gives partnering organizations significant exposure to a network of thousands of supporters. Join us in the fight, by making a tax deductible gift today (THON tax code: 4-6000-376).

Workplace Involvement

Instead of making a direct donation, some organizations involved with Springfield contribute by hosting a company sponsored fundraiser. Ideas include organizing a dress down day in your office where employees can wear jeans for $1 with the proceeds benefiting Springfield. Another popular workplace event is coin wars, a competition between departments to see which team can raise the most money for THON. Happy hour or restaurant fundraiser benefiting Springfield are another great way to raise funds to fight pediatric cancer while having a great time. As a Special Interest Organization (SIO), Springfield serves to fundraise for THON.  Our tenacity and innovation have made us a leader within the THON community and we consistently rank among the top SIO's. Some of our fundraisers include canvasing, a date auction, a casino night, restaurant fundraisers, and boxing.

THON's Adopt-a-Family program pairs Four Diamonds families with approved Penn State Organizations. Springfield is paired with four amazing families: the Robertsons, the  Colons, the Silbaughs, and the Schopfs. We provide emotional support for each family, and they inspire us each day to fundraise at our best.

Through our dedication to fundraising and serving our Four Diamonds families, Springfielders form strong (often lifelong) bonds with one another. We host a variety of community building events like SpringFIELD Day, Mr. and Mrs. Springfield Pageant, and a trip to the nearby Whipple Dam. Even many of our alumni still work to serve our cause and our members.
